HOT METAL MOLDS
|
Angstrom Hot Metal Molds are available in a variety of sizes, types and materials for casting samples to be analyzed via spectrometer.
Our 2392 and 2393 sample molds are made of cast iron and are available in either vertical or horizontal pour types. These are perfect for pouring non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and zinc. Standard and custom sizes are available to suit your specific needs. The 2394 water cooled molds are made of copper block and are fitted with ports to allow water cooling of the sample. These are particularly useful for casting homogenous samples of cast iron. Various sizes are available, however most produce a "coin" size sample that are thin and small. This allows for a very quick cooled sample that is homogenous in structure - perfect for use with any arc-spark spectrometer. The 2398 open pour copper mold is a cost effective mold that can be used to cast ferrous samples for analysis that do not require water cooling. These can be used for low alloy steel, stainless steel, tool steel as well as other ferrous alloys. They are available in various stock sizes and can also be ordered in custom sizes. Please see our information request form to obtain literature & pricing on our complete line of molds.
